Clearing the Cloud Confusion: Attend our Showcase at UG Summit to Avoid Cloud Pitfalls

September 11, 2019 Amanda Sherry

You’ve heard plenty about the cloud, but separating fact from hype isn’t always easy. Transitioning your ERP system and business applications to the cloud is a big decision and you likely have lots of questions you can’t get a straight answer for. We’re here to help with that.

If you’re attending the 2019 User Group Summit, you won’t want to miss our showcase sessions for a very candid discussion about the cloud. There’s no doubt cloud-based software offers some advantages – but what are the disadvantages? What do I ask my cloud provider? What changes can I expect? How does data security work? How does the functionality of a cloud-based solution differ from an on-premises solution? How do I prepare my people and business for the transition? These are all questions we answer every day, and will be answering for you during our session.

Our showcase will be helpful for attendees in any role – whether you’re a CEO, an IT specialist, or an accountant, this session will help you better understand the context and specifics of cloud-based business solutions.  We’ll be offering 2 showcases: one for F&O/AXUG, and one for BC/NAVUG:

Clearing the Cloud Confusion: Advantages, Pitfalls, Real-World Lessons and Must-Ask Questions

F&O/AXUG

Thursday, October 17, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm.

Considering transitioning to the cloud but can’t seem to get honest answers to your questions? Not sure which questions you should even ask? In this session, you will get boots-on-the-ground advice (not head in the clouds hype) with lessons learned from real-world customers. Find out how to avoid common pitfalls, learn surprising advantages of cloud vs. on-premise, and ways to fill the gaps in your business through the latest innovative cloud solutions.

BC/NAVUG

Wednesday, October 16, 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

In this showcase for NAVUG attendees, we’ll be covering much of the above information and additionally discussing how to map NAV to Dynamics 365 for Finance.

See you at Summit!

At Western Computer, we specialize in helping customers understand technology solutions and determine what’s right for their business. Cloud-based software is no exception to our goal to educate and empower. In our showcases, we’ll be focusing on answering common questions and sharing what we’ve learned from working with cloud-based applications.

This will be a candid discussion about the cloud – not just a listing of benefits. We’ll be delving into some common mistakes and how to avoid them, plus providing specific examples so you can gain real-world context. We’ll see you there!
