What business intelligence courses are being offered?

In 2019, we will be offering training courses for two different BI solutions: Power BI and Jet Reports. All our courses span 3 days long and address the most important skills and tips. Our BI experts will provide lectures with demonstrations, examples, and exercises.

 

All of the 2019 business intelligence training courses will be led by Marian Fine, BI/Reporting Specialist, and Dan Williams, Business Intelligence Consultant. The classes will be hosted by Western Computer at our headquarters in Oxnard, California. 

 

Power BI Training Courses:
April 23-25, 2019 or September 17-19, 2019                                                           

Our Power BI training session will cover general concepts of Power BI that will be beneficial to any users.

 

Topics to be covered will include:

  • Shaping data in Power Query
  • Data modeling
  • Star schema, categorizing, and hierarchies
  • Filters, slicers, DAX functions, and variables

Jet Reports Training Courses:
June 11-13, 2019 or November 12-14, 2019

Our Jet Reports training session will be focused on users of Jet Reports with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

 

What you will learn:

  • Turning Report Requests into final reports
  • Creating dynamic reports ranging from basic to complex
  • Retrieving any data from NAV by mastering the NL function
  • Custom reports
  • New Jet features, including Jet Web portal
