Vendor Transaction List Page Enhancements for D365FO

Version 8.1 of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations offers several updates, including enhancements to the vendor transaction list page. These enhancements provide a more streamlined view of settled transactions, a global view across legal entities, additional transaction filters, and the ability to modify due dates and discount dates.

This article walks through the major changes to the vendor transaction list page, including screenshots to show you what the changes look like.

 

  1. View Settlements:

In the new “View Settlement” window/form you can now see full settlement details, related transactions, accounting details and a whole lot more.

  • Path: Accounts Payable > Vendors > All Vendors
  • Select a vendor and on the Action Pane, within the Transaction Group, click on Transactions
  • Select a transaction and click on View Settlements on the Action Pane

  1. Global Transactions:

This view allows you to see transactions across all legal entities where the vendor record has the same Party ID.

  • Path: Accounts Payable > Vendors > All Vendors
  • Select a vendor and on the Action Pane, within the Transaction Group, click on Global Transactions

  1. Transaction Filters:

A new and improved filter for open transactions allows you to view even more combinations of transactions.

  • Path: Accounts Payable > Vendors > All Vendors
  • Select a vendor and on the Action Pane, within the Transaction Group, click on Transactions
  • The list of new filters includes:
  • All
  • Closed
  • Open
  • Open including closed on or after date

  1. Modify Due Dates and & Discount Dates:  

For open transactions, you can now edit due dates, discount dates, payment terms and cash discount terms.

  • You first need to “Activate” the feature:
    • Accounts Payable Parameters > Settlements Tab
    • Set “Show due date and allow edit” to Yes

  • Modifying Payment Settings
    • Path: Accounts Payable > Vendors > All Vendors
    • Select a vendor and on the Action Pane, within the Transaction Group, click on Transactions
    • When you click on the “Due Date” field, a new dialog box opens, which allows editing of:
      • Payment terms date
      • Terms of payment
      • Due date
      • Cash discount date
